Junamarket Seller Terms of Use
Building Prosperity Through Partnership
Welcome to Junamarket.com, Pakistan’s most ambitious e-commerce marketplace dedicated to empowering local businesses and digital entrepreneurs. These Terms of Use outline the rights, responsibilities, obligations, and standards that govern your participation as a registered merchant on our platform. By creating a seller account, listing products, and transacting with customers via Junamarket, you acknowledge your understanding of and agreement with these terms. Our relationship with you is not just contractual—it is collaborative. We view every merchant as a valued stakeholder in our mission to build a digitally inclusive and trustworthy commercial ecosystem in Pakistan.
The moment you choose to list your products with Junamarket, you join a growing family of independent vendors, manufacturers, artisans, wholesalers, and retailers working together to transform the landscape of Pakistani commerce. These Terms aim to ensure a secure, transparent, and mutually beneficial partnership while delivering an exceptional experience to our customers.
Eligibility to Join as a Merchant
In order to become a verified seller on Junamarket, you must be an individual of legal age, specifically 18 years or older, and must possess the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. If you are registering on behalf of a legal entity such as a company, corporation, or partnership, you confirm that you have full authorization to act on behalf of that entity and bind it to all the responsibilities and obligations contained within these Terms. Misrepresentation of your identity or business credentials during registration will result in immediate disqualification and permanent ban from our platform.
Account Registration and Seller Onboarding
To ensure transparency, traceability, and compliance, the onboarding process for sellers requires the submission of comprehensive business information. You are required to provide accurate, current, and complete details including your legal name, CNIC number or registered business license, physical address, business email, mobile number, and bank account details to receive payouts. These details enable us to maintain financial transparency and streamline operations across banking and logistics.
Once your account is approved, you are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. You must not share your login credentials with unauthorized individuals. In the event of a suspected or confirmed security breach, such as unauthorized access to your account, it is your responsibility to notify Junamarket immediately through official support channels. Failure to do so may result in your account being flagged, suspended, or terminated.
Product Listings, Categorization, and Accuracy
As a merchant, you are entrusted with the responsibility of listing your products accurately and ethically. Each product must be described with truthful and complete information. This includes a clear and non-deceptive title, comprehensive product description, accurate pricing in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) or any applicable currency, and genuine product images. Images should not be digitally altered to misrepresent color, size, packaging, or other product attributes. All visual content used must be owned by you or used with appropriate permissions. Plagiarized images or copied descriptions from unauthorized sources may result in content takedown and platform penalties.
Every item listed on Junamarket must fully comply with Pakistani laws and any applicable international trade laws. The sale of prohibited or restricted items—such as narcotics, controlled substances, weapons, pornography, counterfeit goods, stolen merchandise, hazardous chemicals, or any item that violates local or global regulations—is strictly forbidden. Any merchant found listing or attempting to list illegal or unethical products will face immediate account termination and potential legal action.
Merchant Responsibilities and Service Expectations
Being a seller on Junamarket means committing to a standard of excellence in every area of business conduct. You are expected to fulfill all customer orders promptly, accurately, and within the promised timelines. Any delays, backorders, or fulfillment issues must be communicated transparently to both the customer and Junamarket. The accuracy of your inventory must be regularly updated to reflect current stock levels. Repeated cancellation of orders due to stockouts or miscommunication will negatively affect your seller rating and may result in temporary suspension.
Customer experience lies at the core of our business philosophy. You are required to respond to all customer inquiries and complaints within a 48-hour window. This ensures that the trust placed in us by buyers is maintained at every touchpoint. If a buyer raises a return, refund, or replacement request, you are obligated to cooperate fully with Junamarket’s resolution procedures and consumer protection guidelines. Disputes raised through Junamarket’s buyer protection policy will be independently reviewed by our quality assurance team. All sellers agree to abide by the outcome of such reviews.
You are also expected to use reliable and traceable logistics services. Approved shipping partners may include TCS, Leopards Courier, Pakistan Post, BlueEx, PostEx, DHL, and FedEx. All tracking numbers must be updated in your dashboard promptly after dispatch. Missing or delayed tracking data may impact your order reliability score.
Fees, Charges, and Commission Structure
Junamarket operates on a commission-based revenue model. For each completed sale, the platform deducts a commission fee as agreed upon during your onboarding or as displayed on your seller dashboard. The commission rate may vary depending on the product category, sales volume, promotional plans, or seasonal campaigns. These rates are clearly documented and communicated through your account settings.
Your earnings, after applicable deductions, are disbursed to your registered bank account on a periodic basis, which may be weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending on the seller tier you are enrolled in. You are solely responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes, including sales tax, income tax, or VAT, in accordance with FBR or regional tax authorities. Junamarket reserves the right to withhold payouts if any compliance or tax verification is pending.
Product Quality and Regulatory Compliance
Product integrity is paramount. Every product listed must match the quality, specifications, and performance claims made in its description. Selling counterfeit, expired, unsafe, or misleading products is a direct violation of our policy and can result in permanent delisting, legal action, or account termination.
Our customer review and complaint monitoring system automatically flags sellers whose products receive repeated complaints regarding quality, packaging, or delivery accuracy. If flagged, you may be asked to submit evidence, such as purchase receipts, quality certificates, or supplier information, to validate the authenticity of your inventory. Repeated violations, even if unintentional, may trigger penalties or downgrade your account privileges.
Returns, Refunds, and Dispute Resolution
Junamarket provides a customer-first return policy, which allows buyers to return eligible items within seven days of delivery. As a seller, you are contractually obligated to honor this policy. When a customer initiates a return due to a defective, incorrect, or damaged product, you must cooperate with our fulfillment team to ensure that the item is picked up, inspected, and either refunded or replaced as per our platform guidelines.
In cases of disputes—such as a disagreement over whether an item was defective, whether it matched the description, or who was at fault in a delivery error—Junamarket conducts a detailed internal review based on the product listing, delivery records, customer feedback, and photographic evidence. Sellers are encouraged to submit supporting documentation if contesting a claim. Once a resolution is reached, Junamarket’s decision is final and binding for all parties involved, in the interest of maintaining buyer confidence and platform integrity.
Handling and Protection of Customer Data
As a seller, you will gain access to limited customer information, including names, delivery addresses, and contact numbers. This data is shared strictly for the purpose of fulfilling the order and facilitating communication regarding delivery. You are legally prohibited from storing, using, sharing, or selling customer data for any unrelated purpose such as marketing, resale, or third-party sharing.
Misuse of customer data constitutes a serious breach under Pakistan’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and also violates international standards such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Junamarket enforces strict compliance, and any misuse will result in immediate legal escalation and account termination.
Intellectual Property Ownership and Brand Compliance
You are responsible for ensuring that the products you list and the associated content—such as descriptions, logos, packaging, and media—do not violate the intellectual property rights of any third party. This includes copyright, trademark, trade dress, or design rights. Selling counterfeit goods, unlicensed replicas, or fake branded items is considered a criminal offense under Pakistan’s intellectual property laws and may also carry international penalties.
By listing products on Junamarket, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your product images, brand logos, and descriptions for promotional purposes, including website banners, social media campaigns, email newsletters, and print materials. This helps increase visibility for your products and drives traffic to your listings, ultimately boosting your sales.
Nature of Relationship Between Merchant and Junamarket
Your registration as a seller on Junamarket does not constitute an employment relationship. You are an independent contractor. You are not entitled to employee benefits, social security, health insurance, or retirement plans. Junamarket does not control your work hours, product sourcing, pricing strategy, or day-to-day business operations. These Terms do not create any legal partnership, joint venture, or principal-agent relationship.
Suspension, Termination, and Seller Code Violations
Junamarket reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your seller account under specific conditions. These include—but are not limited to—violation of these Terms, failure to fulfill customer orders, abusive behavior towards customers or staff, manipulation of reviews, unauthorized marketing, or engagement in fraudulent activities.
Suspension may be temporary, providing you the opportunity to rectify the issue. Permanent termination is enforced in cases of repeated violations or conduct that severely undermines customer trust or platform security. You may also voluntarily request account closure at any time by submitting a written request via our official support email.
Limitations of Liability
Junamarket will not be held liable for any direct or indirect loss of revenue, profit, or goodwill resulting from your participation on the platform. Our liability is strictly limited to the total commission paid by the seller in the preceding three-month period. We are not liable for marketplace downtime, technical issues, or third-party service failures beyond our reasonable control.
Governing Law and Dispute Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any dispute, controversy, or legal claim arising out of or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karachi, unless both parties agree in writing to an alternative venue.
Policy Updates and Revisions
Junamarket reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be communicated via email or posted directly to your seller dashboard. Continued use of the platform after such updates signifies your acceptance of the revised Terms. Sellers are encouraged to review the policy regularly to stay informed.
